Increase Website Traffic

How To Increase Website Traffic Without Breaking The Bank

Internet marketers often struggle with
how to increase website traffic.
Most internet marketers do
not want to wait to increase website
traffic.

To increase your website traffic you
will need to provide your visitors
with good, useful information, whether
you are trying to sell them something
or simply entertain them.

One effective method to increase
website traffic is by having a search
engine discover your website link on
another website, versus submitting
your link manually. This is because
search engines like to see that other
websites link to yours, and especially
websites that are similar to yours
(talks about the same thing).

Here are seventeen online and offline
methods that will help you increase
website traffic.

1. Offer free, original, and
quality content on your site. This is,
by far, the single most
traffic-generating activity you can
take part in.
* Make sure the content is
helpful to your visitors. Provide your
visitors the information they need to
achieve their goal or solve their
problem.
* Create a fresh piece of
content every two days if you can, or
at least once a week.
* Do not use content
generators.

2. Focus your content on keywords
related to your topic.

3. Start a newsletter for your web
site. When people read each issue
they’ll be reminded to revisit your
web site. Submit it to all the free
e-zine directories on the internet.

4. Submit original articles to
e-zines, web sites and magazines that
accept article submissions. Include
your business information and web
address in a resource box. This is a
great way to increase website
traffic.

5. Start a blog. Post original
content and articles at least twice a
week and ping your blog when you post
to it.

6. Give away an electronic freebie
(like an eBook) with your ad on it.
Allow your visitors to also give the
freebie away.

7. Exchange links with other web
sites that are closely related to the
subject of your web site.

8. Participate in forums. Post
answers to other people’s questions,
ask questions and post appropriate
information. Include your signature
file containing your website’s URL at
the end of all your postings.

9. Start your own online discussion
community.

10. Hold free online classes or
seminars. You will become known as an
expert on the topic.

11. Get some vinyl decals or bumper
stickers created and turn your car
into a moving advertisement for your
web site.

12. Use word of mouth. Tell everyone
you know about your website, give out
business cards to passers-by in the
street, and so on.

13. Give visitors a free entry into
a contest or sweepstakes.

14. Let visitors download free
software such as freeware, shareware,
demos etc.

15. Offer free online services or
utilities from your website.

16. Give free consulting to people
who visit your web site.

17. Put key words and phrases in
bold or italics,

With consistent effort and some
ingenuity, you can increase website
traffic without breaking the bank.

5 Keys To Make Traffic Exchanges Work For You

July 22, 2007 by jonroussel

One of the most inexpensive ways to
generate traffic for your website is
to use traffic exchanges. By
viewing other peoples advertisements
you receive credits that will be used
to show your site to others who do the
same.

With Traffic Exchanges
you add your URL to the site, and then
you start to surf all the
advertisements that are in their
rotator. After a set number of sites
that you surf your site will be added
to the rotation, assuming that your
site gets approved. Surfing
consistently is essential to make
traffic exchanges work.

Traffic Exchanges do a couple of good
things for you . One, they give you
exposure to other peoples sites, You get a
chance to see many other
advertisements and sites and get good
useful information, or ideas for other
web sites you might want to start. This
will help you improve your ads, which
is important to make traffic exchanges
work for you.

If the traffic exchange you are using
is high in the search engines than the
more clicks you get on your site the
quicker you will move up in that
search engine.

Here are five ways to make traffic
exchanges work for you.

1. You may or may not be surfing to
earn credits, but there are people who
are looking at ads all day long and if
you want to get their attention you
need to do it quickly. So you need to
design a web page that will capture
their attention.

2. Landing pages are the best way to
grab their attention. Don’t just
advertise your website or affiliate
sales pages.
By creating a landing page you get to
be unique and can concentrate on
features and benefits to put on your
page.

3. Capture names and email addresses
first. This is really a goal in all of
your advertising.

4.By combining a landing page with a
lead capture form you are utilizing
traffic exchanges to the fullest. To
get people to fill out the form offer
a free report or something that would
cause them to want to give you their
contact information.

5. Create multiple versions of each ad
with different titles and
descriptions. Check which ones are
getting the most views and hits and
then create more versions of those.
One of the ways to make traffic
exchanges work for you is to create a
lot of effective ads. Make sure you
have good headlines for your ads.

Most traffic exchanges are free and
give the option to upgrade. If the
traffic exchange has a lot of people
surfing it may make sense to upgrade.
Also, if you are pressed for time and
have money to spend, upgrading or
buying credits is the way to go.

Traffic Exchanges are just one way of
using free advertising By having many
ads with good headlines and surfing
consistently, you can make traffic
exchanges work for you.

10 Tips To Make Traffic Exchanges Work For You

July 22, 2007 by jonroussel

If you have spent any time marketing
on line, you may have heard a lot about
traffic exchanges. Many marketers
remain confused about how to make
traffic exchanges work for them.

The first rule is don’t try to sell
anything on the traffic exchanges! You
must be remember that you marketing to
other traffic exchange marketers, who
will not be interested in what you are
promoting.

The best strategy is to build a
contact list when using traffic
exchanges. A good contact list will
give you a base of prospects you can
follow-up with. Your list can make or
break you. The way to do is to insert
an opt-in box on a landing page.

When you direct visitors to your own
landing page and business,
you can then you can market affiliate
programs later on

Here are eight more tips to make
traffic exchanges work for you:

1. Spread Your Surfing Across Lots Of
Exchanges

Many Traffic Exchanges have fairly
small active memberships. This means a
limited number of people are actually
surfing at any one time. To make traffic exchanges work,
join and participate in at least seven
traffic exchanges.

2. Surf Sets Of Exchanges At Once

One of the best ways to accumulate a
large number of credits and generate a
large number of hits, is to surf
multiple traffic exchanges at once. If
you use a tabbed browser you can surf
each different traffic exchange in a
different tab or window.

If you earn alot
of credits on several exchanges the
chances are your site will be viewed
repeatedly to the same people over and
over

3. Use Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox is an very efficient
surfing browser, which allows you to
have many “tabs” or separate windows
open, but with only one main browser
window open it also includes many
extra features.

4. Use Splash Pages

Splash pages are simply quick loading
web pages, which are generally the
size of a normal web window i.e. no
scrolling down is required.

To make traffic exchanges work,
combine your splash pages with a
name/email lead capture box.

5. Concentrate On Lead Capture Pages

The purpose of your page is to gather
names and emails that you can add into
your autoresponder automatically and
send them a series of email messages.

6. Use A Rotator

A rotator is a single URL which
rotates the different sites you have
added to it.

7. Track Your Advertising

Its critical to monitor your responses
to determine how to best make traffic
exchanges work. Its much easier to do
this with a Lead Capture page, than
with any other page Use a good ad
tracking program.

8. Compare The Alexa Rankings Of
Exchanges

One useful shorthand guide to how good
a Traffic Exchange is can be achieved
by looking at its Alexa Ranking.

By following these simple steps and
building a responsive list, you can
make traffic exchanges work for you,
leading to sign ups and repeat sales.

Posting To Chat Forums Can Bring In Business

July 16, 2007 by jonroussel

If you’re a frequent visitor to chat forums, you can use them to your advantage without worry about spamming anyone. That doesn’t mean that you have to go in there with the sole intention of promoting your business, but there are a few things that you can do in a subtle way that can possibly land you some new customers. It can be one of the easiest ways in the world to draw business to your website, and you don’t even have to do any work to accomplish it.

Most chat forums allow registered users to add a signature line underneath their name. This information shows up each time you post a message to the forum, and can be advantageous to someone who is looking for any of your products and services. Some forum posters don’t bother looking at the websites of users unless they are regular users of the forum, and then they might get curious. Another thing is if there was a discussion and you just happened to mention that you have a website, and some people may decide to check it out just out of curiosity. It doesn’t matter why they chose to do it, the important thing is that you provided enough interest to make someone want to check your website in order to obtain more information.

Another way a chat forum may help you draw traffic to your website is to casually weave your business into conversations as appropriate. For example, if you distribute parts for race cars, and someone is discussing where to find a particular part, and you know that you can get it for the poster at a better price than he has been quoted, you can casually mention that your company has that part at a lower price and let the poster make the decision to go to your website or to ask you’re the question specifically. You don’t want to make yourself a nuisance, or you will find that the forum owner or moderator will remove you from the forum. Some don’t care but others are very choosy about the subjects that are discussed in the forum, especially if it’s a specialized subject forum.

A third way to bring in business using a chat forum is to search for one that is specific to the type of products or services you provide. Although this may not always be possible, it’s an avenue worth researching. It will definitely allow you more freedom in saying things that will draw attention to your website than a generalized forum. The key is to get the word out that you have a business and what it involves so that you generate enough interest for posters in the forum to want to visit. You don’t want to blatantly advertise unless the forum was created for that purpose. You just want to drop subtle hints and undetectable invitations to visit your website.

5 Keys For Successful MLM Lead Capture Pages

July 14, 2007 by jonroussel

An mlm lead capture page is a web page
that, when the visitor “lands” on it,
she is asked to opt-in to some type of list
in order to proceed further. On some
mlm lead capture pages, your only
options are to opt-in or leave.

Internet marketers
make list building their top priority.
When you effectivelycollect the email
address, along with permission to
follow-up,then you will get other
opportunities to make the sale
later.

An mlm lead capture page, generally,
has some attractive bullets on it, and does a
thorough job of explaining what the
reader will be able to access after
she enters her data. The enticing offer on
the mlm lead capture page, should have the
visitor salivating to get at what’s
behind that “door,” is essential.

The mlm lead capture page
can be hosted anywhere but it needs to
have at least one thing on it to be effective… a
way to capture a person’s email
address.

If you set up an incentive-laden mlm
lead capture web page (by incentive I
mean a contest or freebie for providing
their email address) that has a short
tag line about your product or service
combined with a 2 line form consisting
of name and email address you have a
simple yet incredibly powerful
marketing tool.

Your only real job becomes promoting
your mlm lead capture pages. One
critical tool is an autoresponder system that once set up
requires little or no maintenance on your part.

Now when a person sees your incentive
laden lead capture page on a they can
quickly scan your opportunity and provide a minimum
of information (nobody likes filling
in forms, especially when they only
have 15 seconds to decide on your offer).

Freebies work well, free downloads,
contests, giveaways. People like free
stuff and this gives you a nice way to
build up credibility with your
customer.

To take this a step further you can
track your campaigns by replacing the URL for
your product with an Ad tracking URL.

Make sure you set up a different ad
tracking URL for each lead capture
page or email message and you can
truly see how well each of your
campaigns are performing in
real time.

Once you gather the guests’ data you
have the ability to create an online
business relationship with them.

Once a visitor enters the form on your
mlm lead capture page it should be
made clear that you will be including
them in an email record where they may get
priceless data and resources. Email
lists work effectively when used
accurately because they provide the
reader the repetition of viewing
your business name, which can produce
a great brand name for you.

You may easily do this
by providing your list
users with good
resources, helpful data, and even
concessions
and sales just for them, making for
effective mlm lead capture pages.

5 Ways To Test Your MLM Landing Pages

July 14, 2007 by jonroussel

The first and most important thing
about any mlm landing page you create
to build your list with is testing. Even
testing two different headlines can
make all the difference in the world.

It is best to use a mlm landing page
on a site that is designed to sell one
product. For example, if you have a
site that features a sales letter
selling a particular product or
service, placing a mlm landing page in
front of the information about that
product or service is an effective
strategy

This keeps readers from being
distracted; it sifts and sorts
prospects by level of
seriousness; and it gives you a list
of interested prospects that you can
go back and market to repeatedly.

Don’t put a mlm landing page in front
of your portal site, your branding site,
or your blog. Putting a mlm landing
page in front of those kinds of sites does
not work well. Those sites have a
very different purpose than sites that
are intended to sell one targeted
product or promotion.

Start split-testing your mlm landing
pages. You can do that easily with
something like Marketing Makeover
Generator, or if you have
1ShoppingCart or AWeber, you can use
their split-testing tools. You can
also use something like Ad Trackz.
It is inexpensive and it works well.

It is fairly easy to learn
how to use if you are willing to study
and practice this.

When we know who our prospects are and
what makes them buy, we can start to
answer the big question: why should
they buy from you? Lead with benefits,
not features. Don’t skimp on the
persuasive content of your copy. Go as
far as necessary without being hypish
or misleading. Using a system that
maps the customer’s buying
process to your selling process is a
good idea..

Know What action you want visitors to
take. do you want them to subscribe
to a list? To purchase a product?
Make it clear and prominent on the
page. Let the visitors know by taking that
action, they’ll understand what
happens next.

Test everything on your
landing page, but that would be a
waste of time. Focus on the most
important items, such as:

* Bonus gifts

* Coupons

* P.S. messages

* Guarantees

* Opening sentence images

* Closing sentence images

* Calls to action

* Headings

But remember, test only one element of
a page at a time. If you test all of
them at the same time, you won’t know
what worked and what didn’t. Adjust
your headline and test the one you
have now with the new one. Test the
wording on your opt-in button, test
putting a picture on the page with
leaving the picture off the page. (If
you’re going to use a picture, make
sure it’s crisp and very
tight-looking.) Test everything, but
only test one thing at a time.

Keep tracking and testing and you will
have mlm landing pages to that attract
hundreds of subscribers and customers.

Relationships And Success

July 12, 2007 by jonroussel

I read and participate in many different forums. I have found them to be an excellent way to network, learn and contribute to meaningful discussions. An active forum thread with good, useful and original content will get spidered and indexed by search engines.

I recently came across a thread with mostly negative comments about one of the original developers of Pay It Forward For Profits. The subject matter of the posts, to me, is not all that important.

What was significant, however, is that almost every post, except for three or four, were negative, There was much discussion about getting scammed and cheated. Anyone who has been in network marketing or looked at it knows that scams and fraud do exist.

That speaks to how important it is that one due their due diligence and educate themselves in order to make an informed decision based on facts when they choose a primary network marketing company.

What struck me about this forum thread was the negativity, bitterness and complaining. It reminded me of what Jim Rohn teaches about the subtle yet profound influence of associations. Three essential ingredients of success are character, integrity and relationships.

Integrity means to be whole. It implies excellence of character, having an impeccable attitude focused on the positive on getting better and helping others succeed.

I spend four hours a day engaged in internet marketing. I also go to Chamber of Commerce events, Meetups, business forums and many other offline events. When I am online, it is common to see and come across hyped ads, exaggerated claims and scams. I find negative people are everywhere.

Reading this forum thread reminded me that we do become the average of the five peole we spend the most time with and to continue to make new friend online and offline. Friends who are positive, goal focused and have character and integrity.

Why associate with anyone else, period?
